Position Overview
Due to continued business growth and our expanding presence in the Ontario market, Beedie is hiring a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist (6-month contract) based out of our Etobicoke office. This is a new and unique role, created to support our growing recruitment needs in the region. As our sole HR/Talent Acquisition representative in Ontario, the successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence while partnering closely with our HR team at head office in BC.
You’re an experienced and self-sufficient recruiter with a strong understanding of the Ontario real estate and development market. You’ll need to be proactive, resourceful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while helping us build a strong talent pipeline in a competitive space.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for temporary and permanent positions across Ontario, with a focus on sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Work directly with hiring managers to define job requirements, develop job descriptions, and build strong partnerships based on trust and transparency
- Act as the main point of contact for all Ontario recruitment needs, ensuring alignment with national HR practices while tailoring approach to the local market
- Source candidates through ATS systems, direct outreach, LinkedIn, job boards, and networking within the real estate and development industry
- Conduct initial screening interviews (phone/video/in-person), assess candidate fit and qualifications, and guide the interview process with hiring teams
- Ensure a seamless and professional candidate experience from start to finish
- Prepare job postings, manage applicant tracking, and support coordination of interviews and offers
- Provide input and insights on market conditions and sourcing strategies specific to Ontario’s talent landscape
- Collaborate remotely with the BC-based HR team to share updates, insights, and ensure consistency in process and brand
- Promote Beedie’s employment brand at industry events and within professional networks
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally in real estate, development, or construction
- Based in Ontario with strong knowledge of the local talent market and industry landscape
- Comfortable working independently while staying connected with a remote team
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sourcing skills, including experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, and direct outreach
- Proficient in behavioral interviewing and assessing both technical and soft skills
- Experience with ATS tools and recruitment tracking systems
- Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
