This Position:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the transportation and logistics department of Bee Green’s recycling facilities and landscape supply store. The Logistics Coordinator oversees the dispatcher, delivery drivers, and roll-off drivers, and manages communications with third-party haulers. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating the transportation of inbound retail inventory and outbound recyclable materials for Bee Green’s facilities. This role involves balancing cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while ensuring that customer commitments are met on time and with exemplary service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong understanding of freight logistics and industry regulations. The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations.

What You'd Be Doing

    • Managing and supporting the daily operations of our trucking and logistics team—including our dispatcher, company drivers, and roll-off drivers.
    • Scheduling deliveries and hauls with both internal crews and third-party haulers.
    • Coordinating inbound deliveries of retail inventory and outbound shipments of recyclable materials.
    • Serving as the main point of contact for third-party trucking companies—negotiating rates, confirming schedules, and ensuring they meet our expectations.
    • Tracking driver safety, reviewing incident reports, and providing support or training where needed.
    • Monitoring performance metrics (KPIs), helping improve efficiency, and ensuring we’re hitting our operational goals.
    • Maintaining compliance with DOT and other safety regulations, and making sure everyone on your team is operating by the book.
    • Overseeing personnel matters like scheduling, time-off approvals, and team training—with support from our HR and Operations leadership.

Requirements

    • At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Ability to use TRUX, Epicor BizTrack, or similar logistics/order management software (we can train the right person).
    • Excellent oral and written communication and strong attention to detail. Impeccable organizational skills, and ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.  
    • Strong understanding of inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
    • Excellent people management skills, and interpersonal communication skills. Communicate with team and vendors in a professional manner.
    • Understanding of all applicable compliance and DOT transportation regulations.
    • Alignment with company Mission & Core Values, and passionate interest in partnering with Bee Green to pursue said mission & core values.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Education & Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration; OR
    • A certification in logistics/supply chain with 1–2 years of recent logistics experience; OR
    • At least 4 years of recent hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, shipping/receiving, or transportation.

$25 - $30 an hour
Range dependent on skills & experience.
