This position leads small to medium client projects in the conception, execution, and integration of various data and analytics projects for the commercial efforts of pharmaceutical and life science firms. Additionally, this position leads client interactions regarding existing and future projects and identifies areas for firm growth. This position is actively involved in practice area development and growth, recruiting and training, professional development management for junior team members, and provides general support for day-to-day office operations.

We'll trust you to:

    • Provides project leadership for engagements to develop and execute market access strategies for clients to ensure optimal access and reimbursement for products.
    • Requires research and analysis of various stakeholders, including payers, specialty pharmacies, distributors, integrated health systems, and other organized customers.
    • Role requires strong analytical and communication skills to identify market trends and opportunities and to effectively communicate with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Provides project leadership for team members regarding ongoing engagements, analytical improvements, planned approaches for client requests, or transition of new deliverables.
    • Oversees and develops proposals to ensure methodological soundness; consistently delivers quality client services and drives high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
    • Builds and plans out complex enhancements to deliverables, research, reports, online tools, analyses, and data processes.
    • Supports project execution and delivery as needed to ensure project success.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert on current industry trends and analytical best practices in the life sciences industry.
    • Directs the activities of pricing, market access, payer market research, and payer/channel analytics teams that produce high visibility reports and analyses, including product value assessments, product pricing, account and channel analyses, executive dashboards, and scorecards.
    • Frequently utilizes coding to facilitate data processing, analytics and reporting.
    • Grows external client engagements, owning the relationship between the client and the firm.
    • Monitors progress, manages risk and ensures key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes; manages project finances by maintaining financial summaries, drafting SOWs for new work, and managing client invoices.
    • Identifies areas for firm growth and creates action plans to incorporate across the company, including development of new offerings, improvements to best practice guidelines, or creating new firm practice areas to better serve clients.
    • Effectively leads and motivates teams with diverse skills and background.
    • Provides project leadership for team members regarding process improvements, planned approaches for client requests, or transition of new deliverables.
    • Fosters an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
    • Assists in supporting management, including promoting employee engagement, recruiting, training, and providing ongoing education, employee mentorship and coaching; contributes to internal initiatives as needed.
    • Coaches and mentors junior team members on their professional development and serves as their Professional Development Manager.

You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 6+ years’ professional experience. 
    • Experience in the life sciences/pharma industry in the areas of market access, market research, pricing, and contracting.
    • Effective leadership, people management, and project management skills.
    • Strong understanding of US and global market access strategy, analytics, and operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Coding skills (SAS, Python, VBA, etc.) and knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI.
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, such as PowerPoint and Word; advanced Excel skills required.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong business acumen, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Experience as a team leader or people manager.
    • Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Beghou, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000 to $180,000.
