We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Data Engineer to join our team and help design, develop, and maintain modern cloud-based data solutions. In this role, you’ll build and optimize data pipelines using tools like Airflow and Redshift, integrate various data sources, and contribute to the architecture of our internal data platform, ARMADA.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and directly interface with clients, making strong communication and problem-solving skills essential. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across industries, particularly life sciences, while leveraging the latest in data engineering and cloud technologies.

We'll trust you to:

    • Design, build, and enhance robust ETL and analytics pipelines using Airflow, SQL and other cloud technologies.
    • Orchestrate workflows and automate data process using Airflow.
    • Create data systems including APIs, automated data transfers, and cloud-native platforms.
    • Serve as a trusted point of contact for client teams, ensuring needs are met with high-quality solutions.
    • Document code, deployments, and best practices to foster innovation and maintain high standards.
    • Contribute to Beghou's internal data warehouse build, ARMADA.
    • Apply your expertise in CI/CD, ETL design, schema architecture, and cloud platform management.
    • Develop and deliver clear, insightful presentations and technical deliverables.
    • Work cross-functionally with teams to brainstorm and implement complex data solutions.
    • Stay agile and proactive, adapting to project needs and client priorities.

You'll need to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or application development.
    • Hands-on expertise with Airflow (strongly preferred).
    • SQL experience for data transformation
    • VSCode as primary IDE
    • Proficiency with one or more UI-based ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Informatica, SnapLogic, Boomi, Prophecy).
    • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake, or Databricks.
    • Strong software development fundamentals (Agile, Git/DevOps, code review, testing, documentation).
    • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Outstanding problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt.

    • Bonus Points For:
    • Experience configuring AzureAD/SAML/Okta/Oauth and administering cloud security on AWS or Azure.
    • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS.
    • Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures.
    • Prior experience in the life sciences industry (strongly preferred).
