Purpose of Job

As an Associate Consultant, you will be be primarily conducting secondary research for client projects, BD and internal initiatives including market entry, opportunity assessment, competitive landscape, benchmarking studies, newsletters, company profiles, in the pharma industry. Additionally, your role will include working on Sales Enablement initiatives and potential new client outreaches.

We'll trust you to:

    • Understand and assess Project team’s business research requirements and objectives based on the Consulting projects and move towards formulating a work approach to find out insightful information
    • Synthesize the information into targeted analysis and actionable insights and present the same in a structured manner, addressing the business problem.
    • Contribute efficiently throughout the various stages of the project lifecycle by conducting exhaustive and complete research, data analysis, insight generation and slides preparation
    • Work on Sales Enablement initiatives in collaboration with other team members
    • Deliver high-quality, client-ready output with minimal supervision; identify risks/issues and escalate those to project leads in a timely manner
    • Analytical bend of mind, to know the ‘why, how and so-what’ of a business problem
    • Coordinate with diverse teams, including those globally.

You'll need to have:

    • Experience in Pharma Industry is a must
    • Familiarity with secondary research tools and techniques.
    • Ability to conduct exhaustive secondary research on projects by collecting data on clients, competitors, industry trends, and the marketplace, from public and subscribed paid data sources
    • Synthesizes findings into targeted analysis and actionable insights, taking a first pass on developing recommendations, and communicates results to internal teams.
    • Works independently or with a team to build out research processes.
    • Ability to work on PowerPoint slides, word documents and excel sheets to prepare crisp and insightful deliverables
    • Works on creating and updating various firm level knowledge assets including client and competitive intelligence trackers, marketplace and industry studies, trends reports, newsletters, conference coverages etc.
    • Provides regular updates on progress, manages risk and ensures key stakeholders are kept informed about expected outcomes and red flags, if any
    • Knowledge of data sources like PubMed, Evaluate Pharma, Data monitor, Cite line, Brand Watch etc., as an essential.
