The Opportunity:
Come be a cornerstone in shaping the legal future of our rapidly growing tech company. In this dynamic role, you will focus on the intricacies of our legal landscape, helping solidify our compliance frameworks, and providing valuable services to our community members. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting and developing all legal matters relating to our landlord-tenant and real estate issues. You'll report directly to our Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications:
Experience: You have 4+ years of experience in corporate and real estate legal work, specifically with a focus on landlord-tenant law and residential leasing transactions.
Education: You have a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Certifications: A Paralegal certification focused on real estate law or a Registered Paralegal (RP) or equivalent is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with legal-specific software and technology platforms used for case and document management.

Additional Required Skills:
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to ensure accuracy in all legal documents and records.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage complex workloads and multitask effectively.
Project Management: Experience in project management or relevant certification is highly desirable.

What You'll Own:
Lead Internal Discovery: Lead internal discovery processes, collecting documents and other materials for ongoing legal cases.
Track Legal Actions: Manage and track unlawful detainer actions with external firms.
Facilitate Communication: Collaborate with in-house and third-party attorneys, facilitating seamless communication and coordination.
Legal Research: Research and maintain our landlord-tenant knowledge base, monitoring for new and updated laws, rules, and ordinances.
Compliance Oversight: Oversee compliance with all applicable housing laws and regulations.
Community Engagement: Manage legal aspects of community engagement initiatives to enhance tenant satisfaction and community relations.
Data Privacy Management: Oversee company compliance with data privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA.
Strategic Communication: Engage in daily discussions with our President and other company leaders on all legal matters.
