We are seeking a Business Analyst, Customer Impact to join the BenchSci team. Reporting to the Manager of Customer Impact, you will lead BenchSci’s effort to drive enterprise-wide value at the top global pharmaceutical companies through accelerating discovery and pre-clinical research. You will identify the avenues through which BenchSci’s ASCEND platform catalyzes research and unlocks new opportunities for our pharmaceutical partners. You will bring a deep understanding of value creation and “first principles problem-solving” skills to identify the platform's impact on the R&D portfolio. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders and align them to your vision for the value story.

You Will:

    • Learn and gain a comprehensive understanding of BenchSci’s ASCEND platform capabilities and scientific scope
    • Identify new potential impacts of BenchSci’s ASCEND platform on our global pharmaceutical customers by analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, learning about our customers, and working with our scientists and account directors
    • Partner with internal colleagues on creating value frameworks and thesis describing in detail this new potential impact on our global customers
    • Perform analysis to identify scientific impact proof points during ASCEND pilots and deployments leading to a robust path to Value Measurement at these accounts
    • Partner with the Scientific Liaisons and account teams to surface these proof points from customer stakeholders and develop any relevant tools (e.g., surveys, structured interview guides)
    • Contribute to the development of the business case and value stories for key customer-facing business reviews and reports
    • Collaborate with internal colleagues on developing efficiency and economic models, and translating scientific impact and insights to economic value creation
    • Provide scientific guidance during the process of establishing assumptions required to support benchmarks and baselines

You Have:

    • 3+ years of industry (healthcare or pharma) experience
    • University degree in life sciences
    • Critical thinking and the ability to identify the core value drivers that bring disproportional impact
    • Strong business acumen
    • Advanced MS Excel 
    • Knowledge of data and visualization tools is a plus
    • Ability to contribute to senior-level discussions in the healthcare and pharma space and understand R&D priorities
    • Excellent communication skills that enable you to collaborate seamlessly across all departments within the organization, including interactions with senior leadership
    • Drive and proactivity to bring clarity in ambiguous situations
    • Storytelling; connecting the dots and telling an impactful story with qualitative and quantitative data
