Bento Box Animation Studios Atlanta is bustling with several new and on-going productions! As we are busier than ever, the search is on for exceptional Concept Designers (Environment, Prop, FX) for the production of an established IP and an online 3D animated series. These are immediate hire positions. We are looking to hire Georgia (USA) residents only, or those willing to relocate immediately. The ideal candidate is deadline-driven and able to handle quick turnarounds on a 3D Animated project. Must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and willing to take and follow direction. Attention to detail as well as a firm understanding of file management and organization are all highly regarded. Must be good communicators, as engaging with co-workers and directors is an integral part of this role. We are looking for someone who is passionate, creative, motivated, and shares our love of cartoons.
Responsibilities:
- Visualize ideas early in development – Create 2D sketches, illustrations, or concepts to explore and communicate the look and feel of a product, environment, prop, or FX to be translated into a 3D Animated production.
- Develop mood and style guides – Establish visual tone, color schemes, materials, and stylistic rules that follow the entire design team / project.
- Collaborate with team members – Work closely with directors, art leads, and other designers to align visual direction with narrative and technical constraints.
- Be open to feedback – Refines concepts through multiple versions, responding to critiques and adapting ideas to fit evolving project goals.
- Conducts visual research and reference gathering – Studies real-world elements, trends, and artistic influences to inspire grounded, believable, or imaginative designs.
Qualifications:
- Georgia resident or willing to relocate immediately
- Has previous experience designing for a 3D Animated Project
- Being able to export and save Photoshop files is required
- Two (2) + years of professional studio experience
- Online portfolio for submission is required
- Previous experience in a broadcast animation environment and knowledge of a studio production pipeline is highly valued
