The Why?
The Analysis Directorate serves the information needs of the intelligence, defense, and foreign policy communities through the delivery of timely, relevant, and accurate Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) in support of national security objectives.
 
Office at NGA:
The Office of the Middle East and Southwest Asia (AOS) and CENTCOM NST (AOB) provides the policy, military and intelligence communities' contextual geospatial intelligence on the region, as well as traditional and innovative cartographic products in support of the development and execution of US foreign policy, including military, political, diplomatic, and humanitarian issues.

Description:
• Apply multidisciplinary mathematical and statistical models via programming language to large datasets to extract patterns, relationships and anticipatory behavioral likelihoods that may not be apparent using traditional single discipline means
• Enable customer satisfaction and answer intelligence questions by using knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies, and experience in implementing and executing methodologies
• Provide support to exploitation, intelligence analysis, and product development to include statistical and trend analysis, data manipulation and format conversion, data collection /querying from various systems, data formatting for visualization and presentation, and database design and data entry form development.
• Interact with analysts, mission partners and other contractors on analytical functionality and exploitation and related support tools.
• Support the assessment of new analytical tools and the necessary standards to facilitate compatibility and greater efficiencies across the tools sets utilized by AOS analysts.
• Work with minimal guidance and be fully capable of meeting most analytic methodology services without direction.
• Government and/or contractor personnel may still perform quality control and quality assurance checks on their work, but should not find significant errors.
• Collaborate with Government and contractor personnel in NGA and the IC in the performance of services. Such collaboration should provide accurate technical information that contributes to synergized analysis that is better than the sum of the individual parts.
• Regularly provide division and/or office level support.
• Apply mathematical techniques to solve complex problems and develop quantitative based assessments.
• Apply scientifically based approaches to help solve complex problems and issues to include: statistical data analysis, knowledge discovery, and mathematical modeling.
• Provide database consultation, graphical data visualizations, and recommendations for quantitative data selection and collection.
• Work rapidly in a
 high tempo, high stress environment that often requires multi-tasking.
Required Skills:
At least ten years of experience working as an imagery, GEO INT, or all-source analyst with demonstrated ability to maximize existing/emerging technology
• Advanced formal training in Geography, remote sensing and/or earth science/physical science, data science or engineering/mathematical disciplines
• Demonstrated Intelligence Community experience leading an integrated team of professionals to address Key Intelligence Questions by introducing documented analytic methodologies.
• Knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies, and experience in implementing and executing methodologies to enable customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of intelligence operations and GEO INT phenomenology.
• Knowledge of ABI, SOM, automation, scripting, data analysis, and GEOINT methodology to help integrate statistically sound data analytics to GEOINT missions.
• Data Visualization Experience which may include Matrix Analytics, Network Analytics, Graphing Data.
Desired:
• Knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies, and experience in implementing and executing methodologies to enable customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge and experience using 1) ABI tools and tradecraft to include Multi-INT Spatial Temporal (FADE/MIST) tool suite 2) SOM tools including STARE, STARENXT, GOWK, Cedalion, and FCMS 3) OBP tools and tradecraft to include QUELLFIRE and/or RKS
• Experience applying multidisciplinary mathematical and statistical models to large datasets in order to extract patterns, relationships and anticipatory behavioral likelihoods that may not be apparent using traditional single discipline means
• Experience using Python and/or R Scripts to perform analysis.
• Data Visualization Experience which may include Matrix Analytics, Network Analytics, Graphing Data.
