BestMile’s cloud platform enables the intelligent operation and optimization of autonomous mobility services, managing fixed-route and on-demand services, regardless of the vehicle brand or type. BestMile pioneered on-demand autonomous mobility services and is now enabling the first electric autonomous vehicles circulating in city centers on both pedestrian areas and open roads, servicing the public daily.
As a Mobile Application Engineer, you have a solid engineering knowledge both in iOS platform and strong background in software engineering. Beyond paying attention to user experience and design, you are willing to help us create QA automation and tooling for mobile suites for continuous deployment and delivery.
As a member of our R&D team, you will take part in all aspects of our software development lifecycle: write, review, architect and test code for the mobile part of our software. You will play a key role in forming the engineering culture and expanding our technology team and software craftsmanship into their next level.
Main Tasks
- Create and maintain top-of-the-art application for our clients and users.
- Take ownership and carry features from inception to production deployment.
- Make your team-mates’ life easier and more enjoyable by providing help and good advice when necessary.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in iOS native development using swift.
- Track record of shipping multiple releases of products at scale.
- Solid understanding of programming fundamentals such as algorithms and networking.
- Deep familiarity of mobile constraints and performance implications for long running software on mobile devices.
- Prior experience with mapping frameworks and geolocation API on mobile devices.
- Experience with code review process.
- Work with agility.
- Quality and test oriented mindset.
- Sensibility to mobile UX.
- Good communication skills in English (and ideally in French).
- Authorised to work in Switzerland (EU citizens ok).
Bonus
- Experience with React Native or JavaScript
- Understanding of transportation and logistic industry, ride-hailing, market place matching algorithms
- Hands-on experience with mobile analytics and monitoring tool chain
