BETA is seeking a motivated, process-oriented Material Handlers to join our growing team. This position will focus on the use of a forklift, cart, and other material handling equipment to move materials between receiving/shipping, bulk storage, and production areas at our eVTOL aircraft manufacturing facility.  
As a Material Handler,  your job responsibilities will encompass executing signals from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to efficiently and accurately move materials between locations. In conjunction with material movement, Material Handlers will follow WMS and Team tasking to execute other activities in the warehouse and manufacturing spaces including cycle counting, kitting, space consolidation, and labeling. Material Handlers will work closely with Shipping/Receiving and Inventory team members in the execution of their duties.  An ideal candidate for this role is goal-oriented, detail-focused, qualified to operate a forklift, with experience in inventory and logistics operations and systems.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

    • Operate forklift for material handling.
    • Handle inbound materials: unload, inspect, stage for receiving, and transfer to bulk storage.
    • Complete put-away transactions to move materials to storage.
    • Replenish production items from bulk storage for kitting.
    • Execute kitting processes for production.
    • Transfer completed assemblies to bulk storage and prepare items for shipment.
    • Load outbound items onto trucks, ensuring accurate labeling and scanning.
    • Conduct inventory cycle counts and update damaged materials status.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and perform routine equipment maintenance.
    • Maintain workplace cleanliness consistent with 5S methodology (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) and comply with all safety requirements.
    • Minimize waste and handle hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide input on ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Willingness to work across multiple BETA sites if required.
    • Support Logistics and Production Teams as needed.

Minimum Qualifications We are seeking:

    • High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent qualification.
    • Experience operating forklifts or similar power-lifting equipment.
    • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) software such as PLEX, Oracle, SAP, Cella, EWM, etc.
    • Previous manufacturing experience preferred, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or startup environments.
    • Strong teamwork skills, capable of performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Ability to maintain a tidy and organized work area.
    • Strong communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork and appreciate diverse perspectives.
    • Proficiency in Google G-Suite applications including Drive, Mail, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment using OSHA-required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  
    • This job involves physical demands such as indoor/outdoor activities, walking, standing, climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment safely. It may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, and hazardous chemicals, requiring personal protective equipment.
