The Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for driving the development of innovative equipment, and processes for the manufacture of our eVTOL and eCTOL products.
You will be expected to leverage your past industry experience, innate curiosity, and supplement with new knowledge gained through research and experimentation as you design, build, and validate novel manufacturing processes.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Stay up to date on the art of what's possible in the industry. Be on the forefront of manufacturing R&D
- Rethink manufacturing processes to enable optimization with improved tooling/equipment
- Work with the product design and materials and processes teams to concurrently develop novel manufacturing processes
- Lead process ideation, creation and development efforts
- Prototype and test novel manufacturing processes
- Optimize inspection, quality, and test processes while maintaining regulatory compliance
- Support commissioning and validation of tooling and equipment
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed, including tasks such as machining and welding
- Develop maintenance and troubleshooting documentation including qualification and calibration procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace or other Engineering degree with manufacturing focus from an accredited University.
- Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Catia preferred)
- Experience developing advanced manufacturing processes e.g. additive manufacturing, automation, vision systems, laser welding
- Self-starter that is well organized, disciplined, team player, and communication skills required
- Innate curiosity for the cutting edge of manufacturing technologies
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
- Experience with manufacturing tooling design
- Experience with designing and implementing industrial automation solutions
- Understanding of material properties and their appropriate application
- Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, particular experience with ASME Y-14.5 preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to be active on their feet for a full 8-hour shift
- Able to lift 25lbs
- Able to be in front of a computer for at least several hours
$80,000 - $110,000 a year
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role.
