We are seeking a results-driven professional with deep expertise in product design, manufacturing processes, material selection, quality inspection techniques, and industry standards. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in CAD and PLM platforms, along with demonstrated experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent methodologies, would be beneficial. A relevant engineering degree, alongside applicable certifications and a solid background in aerospace manufacturing, is essential.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

    • Managing the interface between engineering requirements, production Work Instructions and Quality Control Plans, ensuring consistency, traceability, and continuity throughout the lifecycle.
    • Create and curate process documentation that standardizes design-to-production handoffs, promoting operational consistency and knowledge retention.
    • Develop and manage standard repairs aligned with engineering and regulatory requirements, ensuring consistency across products. Collaborate with design to document repeatable repair schemes that reduce rework and expedite dispositions.
    • Support teams with the management of non-conformities and deviations, preserving configuration integrity and ensuring all manufactured components align with approved design data.
    • Ensuring communication between design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support accurate data transfer and uphold airworthiness standards.
    • Support the alignment of internal and external inspection strategies in line with engineering expectations to achieve engineering specifications and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline
    • Strong understanding of aerospace conformity, airworthiness, and special process standards (e.g., NADCAP, Form 8130-3)
    • 10+ years of relevant experience
    • Aerospace experience is required

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

    • Proven ability to translate FAA and EASA regulatory guidance into compliant manufacturing and inspection processes
    • Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, SPC, DOE) and data-driven root cause analysis
    • Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems (e.g., PLEX, 3Dx, Delmia), supporting digital thread and configuration control
    • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives from prototype to Type Design maturity in regulated environments
$120,000 - $145,000 a year
The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role. Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based, situated near active aerospace production areas. The Methods and Standards Engineer collaborates closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop documentation, analyze data, and maintain standards. Success in this role depends on strong digital fluency, process discipline, and the ability to work within structured, cross-functional workflows.In addition to desk-based responsibilities, regular time on the production floor is expected to observe and support manufacturing processes, resolve issues, and ensure alignment between design and execution. The role demands comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, requiring adaptability, attention to detail, and effective communication across departments.
