A Better opportunity

The Real Estate Team at Better is responsible for identifying ways to simplify the home buying journey by creating seamless real estate agent interaction and providing support for the home buying journey. We are looking for entrepreneurs with strong operational capabilities, business acumen and a “get stuff done” mentality.

We are looking for a strong, process driven leader to develop and continually improve the agent experience with Better Mortgage and Better Real Estate. These include relationships with partners (brokerages, vendors, etc.), partner agents and external agents. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of making sound decisions while maintaining harmony in a fast-paced environment while working with stakeholders across various teams at better.


Responsibilities Include:
 
·        Playing an active role in problem solving, including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations
·        Implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
·        Creating a continuous improvement culture within the operations divisions
·        Effectively managing Individual Contributors (ICs) and engaging the team on a regular basis, keeping the morale up
·        Effectively communicating the leadership team’s strategy to the ICs (and communicating issues on the ground to the leadership team) on a regular basis
·        Collaborating extensively with all internal stakeholders - to design and drive ops metrics
·        Helping drive the operations strategy and strategic initiatives
·        Developing core operations systems including but not limited to:
 o   Reporting and KPI tracking
 o   Audits and training
 o   Change management
 o   Team engagement and management
 
About You:
 
·        6+ years of experience in operations
·        3+ years of experience leading teams
·        Be highly data-driven and have an analytical approach, with an eye towards actionable next steps that move the needle
·        Highly structured thinker with the ability to methodically break down complex issues into various parts but also understand how those various parts interact with one another
·        Strong quantitative background in data analysis and modeling (Familiarity with data visualisation tools preferred)
·        Strong bias-to-action, as well as a strong sense of practicality and effectiveness
·        Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
·        Highly adaptable and able to thrive in ambiguous or uncertain environments
