A Better Opportunity
The Secondary Market Operations Specialist (Mortgage Operations Specialist) plays a key role in supporting the NEO Production and Operations teams with pricing, lock desk coordination, investor relations, and post-closing reconciliation. This role partners closely with Capital Markets, Lock Desk, Post-Closing, Accounting/FP&A, and the NEO team to ensure smooth execution of daily workflows. The ideal candidate has strong mortgage knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for the NEO production team on day-to-day pricing and lock-related questions (e.g., product availability, extension requests, cancel/re-lock questions).
- Support lock execution, extensions, and re-lock activities in coordination with the Lock Desk.
- Assist with investor relations, guideline reviews, and product rollouts in partnership with Capital Markets and NEO Secondary Market Analysts.
- Research and resolve post-closing issues, reconciliation items, and underwriting discrepancies.
- Provide reporting and data support to track pricing behaviors and trends, helping analysts monitor pricing drift and market economics.
- Partner with FP&A to reconcile post-closing and capital market events (e.g., concession requests, PA recon fees).
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant processes.

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in Finance, Mortgage Operations, Secondary Marketing, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a finance or operations focus.
- Familiarity with mortgage banking concepts, loan programs, lock desk operations, and pricing preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and build collaborative relationships.
- Self-motivated with a high level of personal accountability and adaptability in a changing environment.
