Operations Manager

The team at BetterDoctor is growing fast and needs an amazing Operations Manager to take care of our team and office in San Francisco (SOMA). You’ll work closely with CEO, CTO and the rest of the leadership team. You will “own” your department and wear multiple hats from HR and payroll management to selecting the right vendors for the company. We want to nurture an environment where things just work and employees love coming to work. 

We are looking someone with a strong track record of running startup operations. You know tech, love working with people, have excellent communication skills and are always ready to go the extra mile for the team. What we expect from you

    • Oversee security efforts and compliance
    • Manage relationships with external vendors (cleaners, landlord, repairman, legal team, external controller and accountants, IT contractors, etc.) and other 3rd party vendors that require an in-house contact
    • Manage HR, benefits, recruiting and quarterly review cycle, employee onboarding, company perks, and in-office spending
    • Be the culture and morale barometer - design and implement office policies that reflect our culture and collaborative environment
    • Coordinate team events, celebrations, milestones, and offsites
    • Organize external and internal meetings
    • Manage day-to-day office operations - keep the office humming (order food, supplies and manage the office budget)
    • Maintain accurate inventory lists of office equipment, materials, furniture, etc.
    • Serve as the “Go To” person in the office for everyone

Who you are & what we want

    • B.A. or B.S. or equivalent
    • 3+ years of startup finance & office / facilities management experience
    • Proven, successful track record of scaling
    • You are organized and enjoy making improving processes
    • You are detail and process oriented; effective multi-tasker
    • You enjoy putting together unique company events
    • You have experience managing vendors
    • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help out with anything that comes up
    • You are a self starter who takes initiative and enjoys seeing projects start to finish
    • You thrive in an autonomous role
    • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbally
    • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and projects in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
    • Adaptable to ever-changing circumstances, situations and people
