The role:
The Community Growth Manager is a key member of our Maine Growth team. This role will be responsible for territory management, developing and mentoring a team, and implementing a comprehensive growth strategy designed to drive growth efforts in the state. The CGM will both maximize utilization of BLP’s existing community partnerships and referents as well as advance the development of new growth opportunities.
In this role, you will supervise our Member Engagement Field Associate team members and work closely with the Marketing, Central (Intake), and Operations teams throughout the organization to ensure optimal customer service is delivered to external stakeholders. Helping to drive State initiatives, you will also ensure internal teammates throughout the organization are kept apprised of relevant state resources for our members, and appropriate marketing materials are created and available for all Growth and Outreach activities in Maine.
This is a hybrid position with much of your time spent in the field and communities we serve. Candidates applying must be willing and able to travel to BLP meetings, community events, or business functions as needed and determined by the business and Growth Team. Candidates applying must reside in Maine.
What you will do:
- Our Community Growth Managers (CGM) are a true “player/coach” in the development our our state initiatives with an opportunity to grow their own territory, while managing a team of Member Engagement Field Associates
- Responsible for a team up to 4 Associates, including training, mentoring, and coaching for territory development and expansion
- Working with the Community Growth Director, as well as State leadership on strategic expansion campaigns and driving initiatives forward for the territory and state
- Managing and driving the team’s expectations around quantitative output and weekly activity with a positive, team approach; setting and communicating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as expectations around timely and accurate documentation in Salesforce
- Working with your Associate team to cultivate key partnerships
- Leveraging the broader internal team members to strengthen partnerships, including the State’s GM, Clinical, and Medical teams
- Proactively identify , cultivate, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including community organizations, businesses, government agencies, and healthcare providers to expand our network and enhance referral pathways including, cold calling, events, networking, and referral generation
- Represents the organization at meetings, events, and partner sites arriving early to set up for meetings and events to raise awareness of our services
- Current territory expectation is to be out in the territory 3-4 days per week, including ride-alongs, senior level meetings with the Associate team, shadowing, or territory development; travel time up to 2-3 hours a day and overnights are possible
- As a team member, you may cover for another territory, as well as travel for meetings and events
- As an opportunity to contribute to our member base, all employees help coordinate at least one weekly group therapy meeting per week
You are a good fit if you have:
- Minimum of 4-5 plus years experience of experience in territory management, business development, market expansion, sales, or outreach roles
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team to source prospective organizations
- Experience leading growth or expansion initiatives and campaigns
- Must be willing to travel locally 2-4 days per week; travel time up to 2-3 hours per day, including weekends and overnights as necessary
- Valid driver's license, access to your own means of reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
It will also be great if you have:
- Two (2) plus years experience in the treatment and recovery field, substance use disorder and addiction, and/or MAT/MOUD program, highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading expectations for quantitative output and team expectations to hit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Proactive with a “go and get” mindset to territory management, coaching and mentoring
- Experience using and team training on a CRM, Salesforce preferred
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Self-motivated to help as many people as possible
- Team player with an “all hands on deck” positive attitude, organized/able to multitask
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor required
Work location requirements:
- BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.
When working from home, the requirements include:
- Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
- Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work location
- Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
$67,240 - $89,380 a year
The actual compensation offered within the range, along with title and level, will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, business requirements, and performance expectations. All full-time BLPeeps are also eligible for equity in the form of stock options to be invested in BLP’s growth and success!
