Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies is seeking an experienced workers' compensation defense attorney to join its in-house legal department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of California workers' compensation law, excellent communication, negotiation, deposition and litigation skills, and recent trial experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Law degree (JD or LLM) from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar membership.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience defending workers' compensation cases at the San Diego District Office of the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.

$165,000 - $195,000 a year
In accordance with the California Equal Pay Act, this pay scale is provided as an estimate of the salary range the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations consistent with applicable law.
