About the role
As the Vice President, Payer Growth, you will be joining Big Health as one of our first payor-facing hires as we expand beyond employer channels. You will be responsible for driving and executing go-to-market growth for health plans (commercial, Medicaid and Medicare), including securing reimbursement of our digital therapeutics through PBMs. You will use your existing relationships, knowledge of the sales process and experience selling to payers and PBMs to drive access and revenue growth.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, client-obsessed individual with experience selling into payers and partnerships with PBMs who is excited about the opportunity to build a new business line from the ground up.

What you'll do:

    • Develop and execute payer and PBM sales strategy, from initial outreach to signed deal and handoff to other teams 
    • Deliver precise and accurate sales forecasts 
    • Create an outreach plan and account mapping and planning process
    • Build deep relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at target health plans
    • Build and foster a 10x pipeline of payer prospects
    • Deliver PBM contracts with the top 10 in the US market
    • Track and analyze the sales funnel
    • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional leadership (sales, marketing, product, clinical, operations, legal) to demonstrate product value & fit with health plan needs
    • Develop trusted relationships with teams within early partners to understand key metrics and areas of improvement, to inform product development and partnership strategy iteration
    • Build a high-performance team

What you bring:

    • 8-10 years of in-depth health plan and PBM selling experience 
    • Understanding of how health plans and PBMs make decisions regarding digital health, digital therapeutics, and/or pharmaceutical services or formularies
    • Track record of success selling (attaining or exceeding sales quota) and managing complex deals, with proven background in managing large health plan partnerships
    • Fluent in developing pricing strategy, contracting process, deal structure and contract negotiation
    • History of exceptional forecasting discipline
    • Demonstrated ability to build a high-performance team
    • Creative problem-solver with a bias to action, positive attitude
    • Agile and dynamic thinker with the ability to flex, innovate, and solve problems creatively
    • Inspiring communicator with strong relationship building, presentation , and group facilitation skills
    • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced company
