As the Clinical Product Lead, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise within our Product Development processes. This role will be a critical part of the Clinical Programs function and embedded within the Product Development Studio, partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, and Research. This role will be responsible for ensuring that Big Health’s products maintain clinical validity and effectiveness, and continue to innovate based on clinical science. The Clinical Programs Manager will co-design product features, develop content across digital programs, as well as contribute to the development and oversight of our safety and risk procedures. Working closely with the Regulatory and Legal teams, this role will also be responsible for compliance and quality across Big Health’s digital products and human-delivered services. They will use data to inform decisions about user experience, clinical programming, and product evolution in partnership with the Clinical Research Team. The role will report to the Senior Director of Clinical Value & Evidence as a part of the Clinical Programs function. 

Job Responsibilities:

    • Co-create effective, engaging digital mental health programs including user journeys, designs, features, and navigation in partnership with other Clinicians, Product Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers
    • Apply clinical subject matter expertise to the development of Big Health products across every stage of the product development lifecycle
    • Responsible for creating CBT (or other evidence-based interventional content), educational, and assessment content across product offerings and services
    • Apply an understanding of data collection to support program use, patient experience, and program value demonstration
    • Lead clinical quality & safety procedures and risk escalation processes. Serve as primary escalation point for questions related to clinical concerns
    • Review features and bugs and advise on prioritization based on clinical impact
    • Contribute to Care Navigation operations, particularly as it relates to safety and risk
    • Design protocols and audit/monitor care navigation services to ensure best practices
    • Develop and maintain a patient council for ongoing collection of user feedback
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop and lead customer webinars, blog posts
    • Collaborate with medical affairs to compellingly and clearly describe key clinical features to support Big Health’s position in the market
    • Represent the clinical voice, expertise, and perspective within and outside the company

Required Skills and Experience:

    • Professional qualification in clinical studies (e.g., Ph.D., Psy.D., M.D.)
    • Maintain a clinical license in at least one US state
    • Subject matter expert on mental health and CBT, bonus if depth in one or more of insomnia, depression, and anxiety, bonus if expertise with adolescents
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the product development processes
    • Basic technical knowledge and familiarity with tools like Figma, Whimsical, Confluence, Jira etc.
    • Prior experience working successfully in a startup or fast paced environment
    • Self-starter, knows how to identify and fill their own knowledge gaps and consult effectively; solution oriented
    • Excited to roll up their sleeves and create content and programming themselves
    • Comfortable with handling clinical risk decisions and training others to do the same
    • A strong working understanding of the US healthcare system
    • Strong communication and presentation skills with an ability to clearly communicate clinical rationale to non-clinical audiences
    • Highly collaborative and skilled at cross functional partnership and execution - ability to lead through influence and partnership
    • Clear, compelling, and informative writing skills
    • Bonus if experience with/interest in clinical research

$140,000 - $180,000 a year

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
