The Proposal Writer assists in all aspects of quote, budget, and proposal generation.  We are looking for candidates who have experience in a corporate GxP setting. This role is not lab-based, but our best candidates have lab experience or experience with the types of assays we do here. You are self-motivated, an independent thinker, and highly detail oriented.
 

As a Proposal Writer your day-to-day activities will include:

    • Generates draft proposals and budgets for assigned opportunities, while understanding and adhering to company proposal and pricing processes
    • Reviews Requests for Proposal (RFP) or Information (RFI) and clinical protocols to ensure full understanding of client requirements.  Collaborates with the appropriate stakeholders to obtain any missing information required to properly define scope.
    • Interfaces with departments such as Business Development, Scientific Office, and Operations to compile high-quality and accurate proposals.
    • Ensures timely delivery of assigned proposals to clients.
    • Estimates costs and labor needs during the budget generation process
    • Supports other proposal writers and performs quality control review of proposals.
    • Maintains appropriate knowledge of the current scientific and regulatory environments.
    • Assists with departmental initiatives and process improvements.

These are skills needed to be successful:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to successfully interact with key internal stakeholders and clients under time constraints
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
    • Ability to understand pricing models
    • Superior attention to detail
    • Ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks while still delivering high quality results
    • Strong organizational and project administration skills

Minimum Preferred Qualifications - Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, business administration, or related field
    • One-Two (1-2) years' experience in a regulated scientific environment, including laboratory or support experience
    • Experience in proposal writing including budgeting, pricing, and collaborating with subject matter experts in biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO/CMO or similar organizations
    • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM platform
    • Knowledge base in science with the relevant regulations for our industry is preferred

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    • This is a full-time remote position
    • Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours as published in the BioAgilytix Employee Handbook
    • Occasional weekend, holiday, and evening work required
    • Occasional travel required
