We are a virtual organization with employees across the country and also collaborative and fast-paced. As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will work mainly from your home office in the Cherry Hill/Marlton, NJ area. You must be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for leading BioTeam’s efforts associated with contract life-cycle management for all contractual relationships entered into by the Company.  The Senior Contracts Manager will review, draft, revise and negotiate agreements, monitor contract performance and compliance, have oversight of the contract process and contract accuracy, and recommend improvements and innovations to the contract process. Supporting all functions across BioTeam, the Contracts Manager will have an interest in having a total view of the business and an ability to communicate with all levels, from junior positions up through the CEO.
 
As the Senior Contracts Manager, you will create and maintain best practice methodologies to develop and implement contract strategies to support the sales process for both public and private sector clients as well as subcontractor and vendor relationships. Working with internal and external customers, you will carefully obtain the requirements needed for each contract to be drafted or reviewed as well as participate in the proposal review process. You will communicate and manage workflow of all contract stages. As Senior Contracts Manager, you will also negotiate contracts and escalate complex issues to General Counsel and assist in resolution. You are responsible for maintaining all agreements in the Company’s contract database, as well as leading special contract-related projects as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

    • Draft and revise a variety of contracts and related documents with customers including Non-Disclosure, Master Services, Vendor and Subcontractor Agreements
    • Participate in responses to RFPs and RFQs
    • Government Contracting knowledge a plus
    • Ensure the Company’s internal contract documents are accurate and maintained in the contract database
    • Meet with internal and external customers to discuss both legal and business matters related to contracts
    • Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation, modification, compliance, and disputes
    • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met
    • Create, prepare, review and edit all contracts, change orders, Statements of Work and Proposals
    • Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities
    • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes

Background and Experience

    • Bachelors’ Degree, JD, and Masters a plus (those with a JD should have admission to practice in one state)
    • 7-10 years of experience in a contracts department and/or in-house legal department
    • Certification as a Contracts Manager a plus
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology and contract requirements
    • Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team 
    • Exemplify strong attention to detail 
    • Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at all levels of the business
    • Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office and G Suite
    • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Capable of professionally managing confidential information
    • Exemplify creative problem-solving abilities
    • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States and have or be able to qualify for government and customer security clearance

Work Environment
This job operates in a home office environment, as well as at client locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. 
 
Physical Demands 
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
