Come join our fast growing team at Bird as the Sr. Manager for Coalitions. In this role you will build relationships with stakeholder groups at the local, state, and national levels, form strategic partnerships, develop impactful initiatives, and scale it as the company grows. This role could work out of Los Angeles, NYC, or Washington DC.

Responsibilities

    • Work closely with our public affairs, government partnerships, communications, and expansion teams to develop and lead the company’s coalitions and advocacy initiatives across government, private sector, with affinity groups, and issue-based groups 
    • Develop relationships with local and national influencers across stakeholder groups, and cultivate champions
    • Lead and execute innovative campaigns with stakeholders
    • Provide insights to Bird teams on furthering public affairs strategies
    • Collaborate with allied groups on key initiatives and issues
    • Develop partnerships with industry stakeholders and organizations
    • Passionately drive awareness of programs globally
    • Develop and execute metrics-driven strategies to measure program’s overall success
    • Represent Bird speaking and attending events for education purposes

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • 8-10 years of experience in political campaigns, coalition development, and/or public policy
    • Strong network of relationships with influential leaders across communities

    • Experience developing, leading highly effective and measurable campaigns
    • Ability to thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced and ever-changing environment
    • Be a self-starter, with the ability to own and drive priorities within your portfolio
    • Be a flexible, creative thinker, able to think outside the box and pursue new solutions
    • Experienced public speaker, comfortable communicating your message and responding to tough questions
    • Ability to think on your feet - to quickly synthesize and respond to new information while also continuing to drive your priorities
    • Thorough attention to detail when analyzing regulatory language and parameters
    • Willingness to hold yourself, team members accountable to continuously be anticipating challenges, identifying opportunities, and delivering results
