About the Role
As our HR Coordinator, you'll be an integral part of the People and Culture team—supporting key initiatives, bringing energy and precision to daily tasks, and contributing to a workplace where people feel recognized, supported, and engaged.
You’ll help bring structure to important HR functions, from team member onboarding to recognition programs, and from scheduling key learning sessions to maintaining team records. You’ll also play a creative role in helping us share our story as an employer—whether that’s keeping our Careers Page up to date or supporting social media efforts for recruitment.

This is an in-person position based in our Sherwood Park, Alberta office.

In this role, you will be expected to:
- Execute onboarding and offboarding tasks using established checklists, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all team members.
- Support the People and Culture team with administrative tasks such as scheduling learning and development sessions, coordinating interview times, setting up orientations and exit interviews, maintaining organized HR documentation, and other duties as required.
- Administer employee recognition programs, including tracking rewards points and overseeing other team celebration initiatives.
- Collect and update People metrics, providing insights into workforce trends and HR effectiveness.
- Maintain the Playbook by keeping it current with HR policies and operational updates.
- Maintain team member records, ensuring organization, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist with HRIS data tasks, including file preparation for an HRIS system implementation.
- Stay informed about Employment Standards, ensuring company compliance with applicable legislation.
- Engage with team members to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Lead social media efforts for recruitment branding, helping us gather and share experiences from our team members.
- Maintain and update the Careers Page, ensuring it reflects current opportunities and showcases our team environment.
- Participate actively in the Social Committee, helping to coordinate events and initiatives that build community and fun at work.

- Take initiative to improve HR operations and employee engagement with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Are eager to contribute to a fun and purpose-driven team culture.
Bonus points if you have:
- Familiarity with Alberta employment standards.
- Experience supporting internal communications
- Social media content creation (for our recruitment branding).
- Background in coordinating team member engagement or team recognition programs.
- Exposure to maintaining or contributing to HR documentation, such as handbooks.
$55,000 - $60,000 a year
Salary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role.
