Our SelectLeaders client is a multifamily development company seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage critical accounting functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and play an essential role in supporting our company’s operational and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting processes across multiple entities, with a primary focus on two key operating entities.
- Manage the third-party employment process and provide oversight on payroll.
- Execute monthly tasks, including check processing, rent collection, and insurance renewals.
- Review and analyze financial statements prepared by third-party property management firms to ensure accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns for all entities.
- Support the final accounting and reporting for a select group of completed projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the real estate or multifamily development industry.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and tax principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks and Yardi) and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members.
- Experience in real estate development and investment is preferred.
