Our SelectLeaders client is currently seeking a full-time Leasing Associate in their Burr Ridge office with responsibility for identifying, procuring and negotiating new lease deals, managing lease renewals, and executing vacant lot sales within the mixed-use portfolio including retail, office and medical properties. The position offers a fast-paced work environment in a dynamic and growing organization with an opportunity for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the EVP, Director of Leasing & Strategic Partnerships to establish, monitor, and implement leasing and sales goals and objectives for the portfolio.
- Utilize local market data, competitive analysis, industry trends and research platforms to identify tenant prospects, procure interest, negotiate letters of intent and execute new lease and sale transactions for the portfolio.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants and tenant brokers to promote continued positive brand awareness in the marketplace and increased occupancy within the portfolio.
- Understand current portfolio lease expirations and craft renewal strategies for each tenant and space. Establish and maintain positive relationships with all external listing brokers. Further develop and create new relationships with local, regional and national brokerage firms and companies.
- Collaborate with the VP, Director of Marketing and on any property marketing and advertising efforts including advertising, email blasts, custom marketing presentations and property signage.
- Collaborate with the Development and Construction department on any construction related requests such as landlord work letters, design layouts, CAD files, etc.
- Collaborate the Asset Management and Real Estate departments to analysis lease metrics as they relate to the investment strategy of each asset and overall portfolio.
- Collaborate with administrative support team(s) to ensure all relevant internal CRM trackers and external marketing platforms are up-to-date and accurate such as SharePoint, Costar, Crexi and others.
- Maintain professional and technical real estate knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing networking opportunities.
- Prepare and present educational presentations on behalf of the company at external events as needed.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing.
- Bachelor's degree with real estate coursework preferred.
- Strong prospecting and lease negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with exceptional organizational skills and a strong proficiency in multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness and ability to think critically real-time, demonstrate good judgement and problem-solving skills in high pressure situations.
- Willingness and ability to accept feedback with a growth-oriented mindset
