The Role:
CP Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Security and Life Safety to join our team. Reporting to senior leadership, this role leads and manages all safety and security programs across our properties. The Director of Security and Life Safety will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of building tenants, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting employee/tenant security awareness safety programs involving crime prevention, safety, and security awareness topics.
- Direct all internal training for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
- Reviews, revises, maintains, and implements the organization’s fire prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Conducts inspections to identify fire, safety, and security risks; recommends and implements solutions.
- Works in partnership with the infrastructure teams, including Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, ESG, Risk Management, Building Engineering teams, and Property Management.
- Conducts risk management audits and asset loss investigations.
- Coordinates with local law enforcement and safety staff to support and/or conduct investigations.
- Drafts and submits reports related to fire, safety, and security operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in safety and security management, preferably within the commercial real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire prevention, safety protocols, emergency response, and physical security systems.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective safety and security programs and policies.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to analyze risks, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and high-pressure situation.
- Relevant certifications in safety and security management are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
