Our SelectLeader's client is confidentially seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join their dynamic real estate investment team. As a Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating potential real estate investment opportunities, conducting market research, financial modeling, and assisting in the overall investment decision-making process. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in real estate analysis and a passion for investment strategies. Experience working with Latin American investors is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling of potential real estate investment opportunities, including cash flow projections, investment returns, and risk assessment.
- Strong GP and Developer relationships and an eye for origination
- Perform market research and analysis to identify investment trends, opportunities, and potential risks in specific geographic areas and property types.
- Prepare detailed investment memorandums, presentations, and reports to present findings and recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and brokers to source and evaluate potential investment properties.
- Assist in due diligence processes, including property inspections, financial audits, and legal documentation review.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of existing real estate investments, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for strategic decisions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact real estate investment strategies.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Fluent in Spanish & English (must be able to communicate effectively to Mexican business partners)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate analysis, investment, or related roles within multiple asset classes (Mixed-Use, Hospitality, Multifamily)
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of real estate valuation methods and investment metrics.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, including ARGUS, Excel, and other financial modeling platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team oriented setting.
- Knowledge of local real estate markets and regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CCIM are preferred but not required.
