This role can work remotely from anywhere in the USA. You must be legally authorized to work in the US.  Bixal does not provide visa sponsorship. 

What will you do?
Bixal has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bilingual Senior Communications Specialist and help accelerate digital transformation for federal and international clients. You will be part of a cross-functional team applying human-centered innovation and effective communication strategies to improve engagement. In this role you will manage human-centered outreach and marketing activities and conduct stakeholder engagement across government, state and local entities, and non-partisan groups to ensure that benefits related digital content for all USAGov outreach channels is accurate and features relevant information to the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community. You will develop overarching engagement strategies and develop a range of supporting materials including website content, social media posts, editorial calendars and more. You will work with a team to make continuous improvements to efforts to drive engagement and growth across communications platforms.

    • Participate in client events and forums to positively represent the organization and develop and maintain relationships with the industry.    
    • As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition by supporting business development initiatives to enhance and grow Bixal's business in each of the areas that it works. 

Responsibilities

    • Create and manage outreach strategies in collaboration with a broader outreach team
    • Conduct stakeholder engagement efforts to understand diverse user needs
    • Distill data and learnings from stakeholder engagement to be used for strategic decisions and practical implementation
    • Conduct outreach campaigns targeting the public, agency partners, media and internal stakeholders
    • Develop content (includes creation, editing and publishing relevant content based on stated objectives) to support outreach strategies tailored to identified audiences
    • Leverage analytics tools and platforms to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and use the metrics to recommend improvements
    • Develop and execute social media strategies as part of overall outreach efforts

Qualifications

    • Must have 5+ years of experience in strategic communications or similar field
    • Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English with native proficiency in both languages in speaking, reading and writing.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the make-up and needs of Spanish-speakers/Hispanics in the United States, including common cultural values and information consumption patterns.
    • Excellent stakeholder communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
    • Excellent organizational skills – ability to manage multiple content calendars
    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Knowledge of best practices for social media engagement
    • Demonstrated experience with digital content creation writing principles and organization for readability and assistive technology
    • Experience in public relations, media and marketing
    • Experience with gathering and distilling SEO data
    • Creative-thinker and problem-solver interested in participating in brainstorming sessions and improving best practices.
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or similar field
