Your mission 

As the Product Manager for Engage, you’ll be responsible for defining our user engagement strategy and for leading the implementation of best-in-industry tools to optimize communication towards and between members. Working closely with an Engineering team and reporting to a Lead Product Manager, you will own the full Engage scope from the strategy definition to the roadmap and shipping of features.

The Engage scope includes all the features and tools required to:
- Improve user experience when they are communicating with each others on our platform (app messaging system, ratings and feedback flow)
- Allow all other teams to easily set up and adapt their communications to users (push, banners, full screen, SMS, emails, etc.) as we want to reach our members the way they expect to be reached
- Own user conversion on highly strategic partnerships (e.g. partnership on Energy Saving Certificates)
- Improve our understanding of user satisfaction (NPS)

Examples of challenges:
- How to transform our in-app messaging system to make it the centerpiece of our user experience?
- How do we improve communication to our members in terms of channel, content, and frequency, while taking into account expectations per geography?
- How do we improve the rating flow to collect precious information on the user experience?

Your Responsibilities

    • Define the “Engage” vision and associated project backlog to reach our ambition
    • Partner with Engineering and Product Marketing teams to assess projects feasibility and prioritization
    • Communicate and align Product & Engineering leadership on initiative prioritization
    • Own the quarterly roadmap
    • Communicate on the “Engage” plan and achievements within BlaBlaCar
    • Build and maintain product & engineering partnerships within the engage scope


    • +5 years of experience in product management or cross functional management
    • Ability to coordinate and work with multidisciplinary stakeholders (esp. Engineering, Product Marketing, Design) : project management ; autonomy
    • Ability to challenge existing features / tools, and identify priorities to improve user experience and strengthen our community : critical thinking, curiosity
    • Ability to engage people that will not be reporting to you : empathy, written, verbal & presentation skills
    • Ability to learn fast and create yourself a strong opinion : coachability; pragmatism
    • Ability to create insights and systemic recommendations : process-oriented; analytical; problem-solving; simplicity 
    • Basic knowledge of database (SQL queries) and mobile development architecture is a plus
    • Fluent in English
