And for Fortune 500 brands in every vertical, it’s actually true — Machine Learning (ML) predictions are solving billion-dollar, migraine problems. But for smaller brands, the talent and investment needed to build an ML platform are simply out of reach.  

Black Crow is changing that--fast. Founded by a team that has spent the last decade in machine learning, our mission is to help DTC brands turbocharge their growth by delivering bespoke, Fortune 500-grade ML predictions. It works out of the box, delivered as a service, and costs less than one data scientist. Integration: one click. 

6 months ago, we had one DTC brand using our predictions. Now we have over 150 — including Solo Stove, the RealReal, SAKARA, Native, Keurig, and Bearaby. There are 50,000 more who haven’t heard of us yet.

Where you come in.
​​Black Crow AI is looking for an ambitious, data-driven B2B Demand Gen marketing lead to further drive our rapid growth.  Given the traction we have with our first product, we plan to significantly expand our marketing activity to get our message out and to drive new opportunities at the top of the funnel.  

This is a role with a wide scope--from owning demand gen strategy and planning to personally  making it happen day-to-day.   You will build and run the demand gen team as we hire additional members.  

You and our Demand Gen team will own and deliver 30% of the company’s SQLs.   To get there, we expect you to:  (i) work with our senior team to create a demand gen strategy and tactical plan; (ii) define the budget to support that plan; (iii) execute the plan -- some parts of it personally, others with your team;  (iv) run the tests required to understand our CAC in various channels/tactics and optimizing from there. We need to get good at all of the demand gen techniques that SaaS companies use -- paid media, events/webinars, sponsorships, content marketing and partner marketing.  These should all be areas you know well and have worked in.  Most of our brand customers are built on Shopify -- so experience in marketing into that ecosystem will be extremely valuable. 

What you've done.
At least 5+ years in marketing with majority of that time in B2B SaaS demand generation roles.  If you’ve done that for a SaaS company that sells into eCommerce, DTC, and/or Shopify that’s a massive plus.  You use and love Hubspot and other demand gen instrumentation.

You have a track record of success defining and achieving KPIs in driving SQLs for sales through a broad mix of demand generation activities.  You know what usually works, what to test, and how to adapt your experience to Black Crow based on the data.  You’ve used your superior analytical skills and obsessive metrics-driven decision making to drive excellent TOFU performance--particularly around campaign ROI and cost-per-opportunity and cost-per-SQL.  You’ve worked in environments where you had a numerical goal and hit it.

You are also a creative thinker with an intuition for what messages will work, and you test them empirically.  You have managed and built small teams of like-minded marketers.   You are excited about working in a fast-paced startup where you will define the processes and systems as the first demand gen marketer.
