Everyone’s got the message: machine learning is changing everything. And for Fortune 500 brands in every vertical, it’s actually true — Machine Learning (ML) predictions are solving billion-dollar, migraine problems. But for smaller brands, the talent and investments needed to build an ML platform are simply out of reach.  

Black Crow is changing that — fast. Our mission is to help DTC brands turbocharge their growth by delivering bespoke, Fortune 500-grade ML predictions. It works out of the box, delivered as a service, and costs less than one data scientist. Integration: one click.

It’s a powerful formula. Six months ago, we had one DTC brand using our predictions. Now we have over 100 — including Solo Stove, the RealReal, SAKARA, Native, Keurig, and Bearaby. There are 50,000 more who have yet to discover us.

This is the third company Black Crow’s founders have started together. Both previous companies scaled to >$100MM and were voted ‘Best Places to Work’ in NYC multiple times.

Where you come in. 
We’re looking for a proven sales leader to further drive our rapid growth — and contribute to our unique culture.   

It’s a big role with a wide scope: you’ll own our sales strategy and vision and lead the team to make it happen day to day. 

To get there, we expect you to excel in three areas (i) hiring and growing an outstanding team of sellers, (ii) coaching and developing each seller (helping them maximize their individual effectiveness), and (iii) refining our sales motion + playbook, (maximizing our team-wide win rate). 

What you’ve done.
You’ve spent at least 10 years in SaaS sales roles. You’ve been a top quartile seller yourself, and successfully led distributed sales teams. You have experience at the growth stage (<$50MM ARR, growing >100% per year.)

Digging deeper, you have experience leading high volume teams (>30 deals per seller / year) selling at mid-market price points ($25 - 150K ACV). While it’s not required, previous experience selling into eCommerce, DTC, and/or Shopify is a massive plus. 

Finally — and perhaps most importantly — your approach to selling and sales leadership is a bit different from the stereotype. You are driven and your teams deliver great results; but you are also thoughtful, strategic, and — like the rest of us here at Black Crow — human first. The growth you deliver will be sustainable over the long term because it will be based on authentic and trusting relationships — with your team, your colleagues, and your customers.
