About the TA Partner role:
To date, hiring at Blackpanda has been a group effort. Like many startups, we’ve improvised, and grown a strong team; but we’ve done it reactively, via referrals and inbound applications, and an over-reliance on agencies. 

Now though, this is changing.

Having achieved product market fit, and with a slew of top-tier, revenue-generating partnerships in place across the region, Blackpanda is elevating every aspect of our hiring: our sourcing, the quality of our assessment, the candidate and interviewer experience; in short, the overall repeatability, efficiency, and quality of the hires we make. 

Our founder-CEO is the driving force behind this shift; he has made clear that hiring is a company-wide priority, and he is investing his own time and effort accordingly.

Crucial to this next phase of recruiting will be adding an outstanding, hands-on recruiter to the team. As our first dedicated recruiter, this hire will:

    • Source, interview and close word-class cybersecurity talent across engineering, product, G&A and GTM functions. The vast majority of time will be spent here. 
    • Improve the quality of Blackpanda’s hiring effort via their expertise, passion for recruiting, and ability to influence Blackpanda’s leaders and hiring partners.
    • Partner closely with Blackpanda leadership in the People function and in the business to:
    • Inspire recruiting excellence
    • Instill and give voice to a recruiting culture that always prioritizes the need to hire well
    • Add appropriate structure, process and tools to the hiring effort

About You:

    • Senior recruiter with at least 8 years of relevant TA experience; ideally, in technology companies.
    • Willing and able to be hands-on in sourcing, screening and closing (and scheduling) technical and non-technical hires.
    • You’ve recruited in environments which lacked many of the following: a strong hiring brand, a systematic hiring process, interview training, hiring tools and team-wide adoption of those tools, etc. You can also speak to your experience in having put these pieces in place. 
    • Gifted communicator who writes and speaks clearly and concisely; asynchronously, and across cultures and time zones.
    • Able to personify and represent Blackpanda and our values, while ensuring that those who join us also share those values.
    • Able to tell our stories, while ensuring those who join us are authentically excited about them, and about the potential we offer.
    • Demonstrated track record of having built out an organization, and/or sets of teams within it, in close partnership with leaders and hiring partners.
    • A self-starter who can serve as a friendly-but-tough voice and champion of recruiting excellence, you’re able to build buy-in and bring others with you as you help set a “recruiting culture” that deeply values and prioritizes hiring.
    • You use a combination of courage, data-savvy, storytelling ability, partnership skills and good, old-fashioned pluck to be able influence the leaders and hiring partners you work with to hire well with you.

What We Offer

    • 40 days paid leave per year inclusive of public holidays, which may be taken at the discretion of the employee subject to compliance with our Leave Policy and the approval of their manager. 
    • Limited Work From Anywhere policy allotment, allowing for work from alternate locations contingent upon coverage provided by teammates and approved by manager for 5 days per quarter.
    • Monday through Thursday are required to be in-office; no scheduled internal meetings on Fridays, unless absolutely necessary.
    • Enrolment in the company’s comprehensive corporate health plan that includes a large direct billing network for medical and dental coverage.
    • Opportunities for inter-office travel, including a required annual week-long Tribe Onsite meet-up.
    • $5000 USD/year for professional training budget contingent on approval from manager with 12-month retention requirement
S$100,000 - S$100,000 a year
Cash:  The Salary is SGD $100,000 per annum. 

Equity: ESOP baseline award proportional to the annual compensation for a total of 16,875 options with a strike price set at current Fair Market Value, with a 5-year vesting period inclusive of a 1-year cliff.
