At Blackpanda, our Talent Management team is the engine that enables our people to succeed. We are seeking an exceptional Human Resources Specialist to help us grow our Tribe across Asia. This role will balance both strategic and operational responsibilities — you will think big picture and also roll-up your sleeves to drive execution of strategic HR initiatives. The right candidate will radiate energy and enthusiasm with a deep-seated desire to help people, to build a team and culture that will enable Blackpanda to be the premier cybersecurity Digital Forensics and Incident Response team in Asia.

Applicants should be based in Hong Kong or Singapore with long-term plans to reside and stay in the city, but we welcome applicants for remote-work who are willing to overlap a portion of their work day with Asia.

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Inspire and generate strong team member morale and welfare as well as guide establishment of company culture according to Core Values
    • Assist in the creation and implementation of organizational guidelines with respect to roles, responsibilities, and hierarchy
    • Serve as a trusted team member advisor for all members of the company – seeking solutions to team member issues
    • Set up a 360-feedback system and manage employee evaluations as necessary
    • Manage headhunters and drive the candidate hiring pipeline via LinkedIn, Lever, and other digital recruiting platforms
    • Assist Legal Counsel in drafting and review of team member contracting
    • Conduct team member onboarding/off-boarding procedures as well as exit interviews
    • Update and maintain personnel records
    • Manage personal administrative matters such as insurance, employment passes and visas
    • Research and stay abreast of new HR trends and relevant changes in government rules, regulations, and policies

Qualifications and Experience

    • 5+ years experience in Talent Management/HR.
    • Experience in the Tech, IT / cybersecurity industries preferred, but not required
    • Proficiency with HR record keeping, management tools and resources
    • Ability to work within a multi-national team
    • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships
    • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential personal information
    • Computer/tech savvy; can competently utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and messaging applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Based in Hong Kong or Singapore with long-term plans to remain in the region
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • Cantonese or Mandarin language skills a plus
