Blanc Labs is looking for a Senior Java Back-End Developer with experience in banking/financial institutions—especially in money transfers/payments, ideally involving Central 1 or Interac. Familiarity with ISO 20022 (Message Exchange standards for payment) is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with various Java based frameworks to support existing and new applications
- Deliver Java requirements for on going development of Web App features and API's
- Collaborate and participate in a team environment
- Assist and contribute to our in house developer best practices
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Working experience in Java, good command of object oriented principles
- Ability to quickly pick up and learn new languages and frameworks
- Experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot
- Microservices
- RESTful/SOAP APIs
- API lifecycle
- Experience with DB SQL Server
- Azure API Management, Azure Event Hub
- Experience with synchronous/asynchronous processing
- Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges
- BS in Computer Science or related field (experience in lieu of degree considered)
- Experience in Agile style development including Sprint planning and Estimation
- English advance
