About the Role and Team
We are seeking someone who is passionate about working with numbers to join our team of Financial Research Analysis professionals. In this role you will use your data analysis and research skills to provide valuable insights to our New Matters team about potential new cases and you will also provide support to the firm’s litigation teams on our active cases.
In This Role You Will:
- Calculate losses in securities actions for clients and public holders of securities
- Assist with research and analysis of securities actions
- Assessment of classwide damages
- Obtain and organize SEC filings, analyst reports, news articles, conference calls, insider trading reports
- Monitor news and dockets for active securities cases
- Download client portfolio information from secure custodial bank sites
- Assist with periodic reports to clients
The Ideal Candidate Will Posses:
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Research and investigative skills
- Working knowledge of Cap IQ, Bloomberg, Westlaw, Thomson, SEC filings, PACER
- Ability to prioritize a workload effectively under the pressure of competing assignments
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Background in Mathematics, Economics, or Finance (practical experience or education), and at least one year of professional experience
- Familiarity with financial markets, public companies and stock exchanges
- Familiarity with calculating stock losses, especially related to Securities law is a plus
Position Details:
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in New York City
- This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office - Tuesdays and Wednesdays required; 2 days work-from-home)
Salary Range:
- $70k - $82.5
