We’re looking for our first Email Marketing Manager for our Marketing team. In this role, you’ll work with our Demand Generation team to build and execute a thoughtful email marketing strategy, in order to build pipeline, engagement, and brand awareness with both leads and existing customers.


    • Develop a high-performance email marketing and customer lifecycle strategy targeting Blend’s major stakeholders, including lending executives and loan officers
    • Manage and curate email lists
    • Test hypotheses on how email can be used to drive user behavior; experiments can be as tactical as copy on a specific button, to as strategic as developing a new user on-boarding campaign
    • Provide daily hands-on execution of email marketing programs in support of company objectives. This includes ownership of setup, maintenance, and review of recurring and triggered email campaigns, to drive company customer acquisition and lead nurturing
    • Build and manage an email calendar inclusive of all sophisticated nurture programs and campaigns for customers and prospects in all stages in the funnel
    • Partner and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, business operations, and sales to align on initiatives and success metrics
    • Analyze email campaign performance, summarize key insights, and offer recommendations. Implement and advise on email features and capabilities including targeting, personalization, database segmentation, APIs, and email templates
    • Manage and develop email testing. Continually optimize, analyze, A/B test, and make recommendations on improving email performance to include the following core metrics: open rate, CTR, engagement, and conversion
    • Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email; ensure best practices through email compliance and spam regulation


    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
    • 3 to 5 years experience with email marketing automation, lead nurture, online A/B testing and conversion optimization, and project management
    • Extraordinary organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
    • Experience working cross-functionally
    • Knowledge of email marketing best practices and industry best practices
    • Proficient with Salesforce, Hubspot, Google Analytics, and Litmus
    • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data
    • Excellent writer and communicator
    • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
