Blispay is a financial technology startup backed by strong partners. Our first product is an everyday credit & financing solution that customers deserve and merchants need. Our founding team consists of experienced industry veterans from companies including Bill Me Later, PayPal, Bank of America, MBNA, Microsoft & Zynga. As Business Development Representative, you will report to the Head of Sales and be responsible for growing our network of merchant partners, and will evolve with this pivotal team at Blispay.  You will play a significant role in scaling our merchant partner base by identifying opportunities through outbound sales efforts. You’ll get to use your, intelligence, persistence and positive attitude to establish and grow this critical area of our company's future. Our team hits sales targets by working hard, having a great attitude, and supporting one another.  

Responsibilities

    • Develop an understanding of the promotional financing space and Blispay competitors
    • Educate local businesses on the benefits of using Blispay vs. the competition and enroll them
    • Make a minimum of 50 phone calls per day
    • Document all of your activity in Hubspot CRM  (If it’s not in Hubspot, it didn’t happen)
    • Be a responsible employee and solid teammate

Experience and Skills

    • BA/BS Degree
    • 2+ years inside sales experience
    • Proven track record of sales success (PS: it’s ok to brag, this is sales. Bring awards to your interview)
    • Excellent communicator, but an even better listener
    • Strong closing skills
    • Ability to be successful in a fast-pace environment
    • Coachable: You love to constantly improve, seek out feedback, and apply it quickly
    • Team player: You love winning and sharing success with others
    • Competitive: You love to win and hate to lose
    • Experience with team sports is a plus
    • Hubspot experience is a HUGE plus

We are looking for the best of the best in Baltimore to join our inside sales team. This team is responsible for new merchant acquisition, which means your job is to sell the benefits of Blispay to the top local businesses in the US. You will be considered wildly successful if you can not only enroll new, high-value merchants, but also make sure they are generating Blispay cardholders.
