Blockstack is seeking an experienced Documentation Engineer who is passionate about developer experience. In this role, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the Blockstack platform and craft documentation to help open source developers design, build, and deploy their Blockstack apps. 

You will collaborate with engineering, product, growth teams while leading the strategy and execution for all documentation. We are a small but mighty team, and we pride ourselves on being first, and foremost, a developer platform. The success of that platform, and thousands of developers, will rest on your shoulders—the role requires a sharp analytical mind, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for learning. 

What you”ll do:
Write goal-based developer tutorials and reference documentation
Implement and evangelize documentation standards, guidelines and best-practices
Organize documentation and make it easily discoverable
Analyze documentation performance to increase developer happiness and success

What we’re looking for:
Ability to write for a wide-range of audiences 
Ability to read source code, build development branches, and test small samples
Solid understanding of developers and their pain points/motivations
Can dig deep into technology and troubleshoot issues independently
5 years of experience writing developer documentation
Experience with development tools and practices (GitHub and similar docs-as-code environment)
Experience measuring documentation quality through qualitative and quantitative methods
Sound English writing skills
