About the Job:
The Senior Manager, Digital Commerce will focus on optimizing the end-to-end guest digital experience, growing revenue, optimizing digital shelf performance, and supporting the omni-channel through digital. They will be responsible for leading and executing Blue Bottle Coffee’s US digital commerce and subscription program across all digital marketplaces while also supporting partner retail channels. The ideal candidate is deeply guest-centric with a strong understanding of digital commerce best practices and data-driven decision-making. This role will play a critical part in aligning all digital commerce initiatives under a unified growth strategy and will also oversee the development of our digital commerce roadmap, ensuring alignment with our broader business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- P&L: Responsible for the US e-commerce P&L. Manage the financial KPIs (P&L) of Bluebottlecoffee.com as well as 3P marketplaces in the North Americas, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring.
- Omni-channel Support: As a cafe-centric brand, leverage digital channels to support a holistic guest experience across channels.
- Roadmap Development: In partnership with the Director, Membership & Digital Commerce, develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns DTC, Amazon, and other third-party retail channels under a cohesive growth plan. Monitor performance metrics (traffic, conversion rates, customer reviews, etc.) and adjust strategies based on data insights and competitive trends.
- Operational Support: Ensure strong operational execution, collaborating with internal teams to manage inventory flow, compliance, and demand forecasting. Provide recommendations for digital commerce exclusive SKUs and offerings.
- Sales Acceleration: Add fuel to the channel's profitable growth trajectory while onboarding incremental digital platforms and wholesale solutions. Monitor and evaluate digital commerce performance metrics, ensuring goals are met while mitigating cannibalization of commercial sales volume.
- Owned Website Management: Manage the full site experience, including product listings, merchandising, navigation, and third-party app integrations to enhance guest engagement and conversion.
- Team Leadership: Manage email/CRM and paid media reports to execute digital commerce initiatives effectively. Serve as the champion subject matter expert on digital commerce within the organization, ensuring best practices, innovation, and data-driven decision-making are integrated across teams.
- Champion Compliance & Technical Excellence: Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and industry standards around accessibility and privacy. Work closely with the Digital Product manager to address bugs, optimize performance, and ensure continuous site improvements.
- Direct Marketing Ownership: Own planning and execution of direct marketing activations, developing a comprehensive automated CRM flow to onboard new signups and enhance customer engagement.
- Data + Insights Tracking: Develop a digital commerce reporting framework in collaboration with Category Management and Commercial Analysts to track KPIs, consumer insights, and incremental sales.
- KPI & Goal Setting: Establish monthly performance benchmarks and continuously track KPIs, ensuring all initiatives are aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Additional Responsibilities: Develop impactful and strategic marketing presentations utilizing data, insights, and storytelling to communicate digital commerce performance and opportunities. Support the creation of a company-wide dashboard to provide visibility into performance and key KPIs. Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to generate insights that can be leveraged cross-functionally to drive business growth.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in digital commerce, digital marketing, and/or online retail, preferably in the food & beverage industry.
- Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Extensive experience with Excel (you are a VLOOKUP wizard), PowerPoint & other data analytical tools (Tableau, SIGMA, etc.). Basic SQL or HTML knowledge is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of growing digital commerce sales and managing digital marketplaces.
- Strong understanding of SEO, CRM, and experience with digital analytics + reporting tools (ex: Google Analytics, Segment, SIGMA, Amplitude, etc.).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance teams.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation:
- This position has a minimum salary of $130,000. This salary is a good-faith estimate for this position. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, which include a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
$130,000 - $210,000 a year
