We are looking for a dynamic individual with a do-whatever-it-takes attitude to join our IT team, reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Manager.

The Procurement Specialist is expected to:
• Assist the Senior Infrastructure Manager with procurement of hardware, software, services, etc.
• Working with vendors to negotiate net new contracts and renewals
• Working with senior IT team members to put together BlueCat’s annual IT budget
• Working with vendors to plan 3 months/6 months/12 months down the road for upcoming new features, new hardware, changes to subscriptions, pricing changes
• Responsible for maintaining/updating BlueCat’s asset inventory database
• Responsible for maintaining/updating BlueCat’s software contract database
• Administering various applications with regards to assigning/revoking access as requested via ticketing system
• Preferably work Eastern Time zone hours (9am-5pm EDT) as the bulk of BlueCat’s vendors are North America-based.
• Responsible for creating/updating documents for corporate intranet and Help Desk specific to procurement of hardware, software, services, etc.
• Responsible for creating reports from asset inventory to determine software utilization, hardware refresh, licensing requirements

We are looking for:
• Relevant University Degree or College Diploma
• Experience with hardware procurement, software procurement, and services procurement
• Excellent organization and administrative skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent communication, proficiency in English, patience with end users and vendors, etc.
• High level technical knowledge in order to converse with vendors about hardware, software, subscriptions, etc.
