Reporting to the Manager, Learning and Development, as the Learning and Development Specialist you will help champion the best internal learning strategies for our employees. Utilizing principles of adult learning and engaging programs, this position will focus on administrating learning activities, building content and developing excellent material that aligns with strategic goals. 

You dig in deep when we are looking at the learning plan, build, implementation, and results of training for new products.  We are looking for someone who has a ‘get it doneattitude’, takes ownership and builds credibility quickly.  You thrive in aggressive timelines and can work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities: 
• Works with Subject Matters experts to create internal product release training to enable our cats on the latest changes for BlueCat Products and communicates training plans to stakeholders via the Product LifeCycleManagaement Process 
• Co-owns the Learning Management System (LMS) including managing assets, building learning paths, analyzing learner results, maintenance, and improvements to LMS processes 
• Oversees the employee Continuing Education Fund and identifies ways to increase usage across departments and regions. 
• Manages the compliance training programs, including yearly recertification, reporting and updating content to ensure we are compliant. 
• Develops and maintains training collateral aligning with business needs that integrate adult education principles using the appropriate learning vehicles (course outlines, slides, participant/learning guides, pitch decks, job aids, quick reference guides, eLearning, video) with an emphasis on digital learning 
• Communicates training activities to the wider business via a variety of methods (email, LMS, Slack, Zoom conversations, intranet, telephone, monthly schedules, posters, communication boards, etc.) 
• Provides support with research, recommendations, development and administration of various learning programs as required. 
• Monitors training through various evaluative methods (reports, evaluations, participant stats) to identify opportunities for improvement 
• Evaluates training, provide summary and analysis 
• Facilitate training, as required 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:  
• 3+ years of experience with design, development and implementation of blended learning solutions/distributed education 
• Experience working with and improving learning engagement with a Learning Management System 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve 
• Track record of working with different functional groups to drive success 
• Ability to adapt positively to a changing environment and shifting priorities 
• Ability to build strong relationships quickly 
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to lifelong learning 
• Self-disciplined to work independently 
• Strong project management skills 
• Adult Education certificate in flight or completed.
