BlueCat seeks a Software Release Program Manager to be responsible for planning, managing and governing deliverables from the Product Team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic work environment who has the personality to rally support from all our different internal stakeholders. 
 
The Release Program Manager will coordinate and facilitate the activities necessary to prepare internal and external stakeholders to receive Product Team outputs, assuring that all criteria for releases have been met.
 
The Release Manager will also be responsible for minimizing risks of the release and contributing to the definition of the criteria for release. Therefore we need someone intuitive who can ask the right questions to make sure things get done. 

Summary of Responsibility:
·       Ensure that the Product Team release governance is understood and followed throughout the development cycle
·       Consolidate engineering approaches and elaboration outputs to manage release inception and refine launch scheduling 
·       Communicate release status to primary stakeholders, including risk management and impact assessment of changes to scope or effort
·       Ensure deployment/distribution plans are followed 
·       Coordinate with Product Management, Customer Care, and Marketing, on internal and external communication
·       Validate that the product meets release criteria
·       Lead release retrospectives to improve the release process, program productivity and product quality
·       Provide final sign off that the release has met all criteria
·       Cross-team coordination and management of activities is a key aspect of the role, where Product Management, Build Engineering, Quality, Development, Customer Care, Marketing, and Sales Operations, are all key stakeholders
·       Active involvement in coordinating and ensuring assignment and ownership of critical product elements such as internationalization, internal training, and quality/compliance standard assessments

What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience managing projects; ideally software releases
- University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a background in development
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Excel, PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Agile software development
- PMP Certification is an asset but not required
- Understanding of Configuration Management is an asset
- Understanding of SAAS and Microservices is an asset
