The People Team partners with the business to help promote and enable everyone’s success at BlueCat.  We are a cross-functional team that constantly supports each other to ensure our employees love coming to work every day.  We value people over process and take a strategic approach to expanding BlueCat. We're searching for a highly motivated and professional Human Resources Business Partner (14 months contract - Maternity Leave) to join our team. 

Responsibilities:
·  Be the first point of contact for all HR related inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders in your client groups.
·  Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and ensure compliance with all employment and labor laws
·  Advise and support employees and managers in the application and interpretation of policies, procedures and legislations
·  Provide advice regarding performance management as well as compensation management (for example, coaching, counseling, career development, development plans), and support annual review processes
·  Accompany and advise your specific clients groups on best practices in human resources, such as staffing, change of management, training or performance management
·  Manage relationship with external health providers and assist employees with inquiries related to their health and insurance benefits
·  Build relationships with business leaders and employees, gaining trust and credibility with key internal stakeholders
·  Partner with senior leadership to resolve sensitive employee-relations situations
·  Provide relevant recommendations to the Director of People to guide decision-making related to compensation, organizational change, attrition, promotions etc.
·  Drive people initiatives with strong communication skills, coaching, and influencing
·  Offer thought-leadership regarding organizational/people related strategy and execution

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
·  Degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field.
·  Have 5 + years in an HR Business Partner or HR  Generalist capacity, supporting technology industry or customer-facing client  groups.
·  Experienced in practicing, building, and implementing HR best practices. Ideally, experience with a growing global organization.
- Payroll experience is an asset
·  Proven ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
·  Proven ability to interpret and resolve employee situations in compliance with applicable policies and legislation.
·  Experienced supporting IT Team will be a plus.
·  Demonstrated success in developing progressive people strategies and driving process improvements.
·  Proven track record of influencing, leading, and facilitating strategic initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills  across levels with an ability to persuade, influence, and build enthusiasm and commitment.
·  Goal-oriented, accountable, and passionate about driving results.
·  Experience supporting both an in-office and remote employee base.
·  Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
