Primary duties include:
• Own the revenue recognition process for all revenue recognition streams – perpetual, maintenance, subscription and services, and related processes such as cost of sales.
• Oversee month-end procedures, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting including review of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Advise on revenue recognition adjustments and review SSP studies in accordance with ASC 606
• Analyze and forecast monthly/quarterly performance of revenue, including recurring revenue metrics and cost of sales
• Review customer contracts to ensure accurate and consistent application of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606
• Review technical accounting memos assessing revenue recognition for new products and contracts
• Implement process improvements, including automation of revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules
• Lead revenue integration efforts of acquired businesses into Company processes and ensuring standard revenue recognition policies are utilized across the business
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor’s Degree related to Accounting
• CPA required
• Minimum of 5+ years of revenue recognition experience in a SaaS Company and excellent knowledge of ASC 606
• Exceptional excel skills and ability to learn new systems (experience with NetSuite and/or systems integration is an asset)
• Excellent attention to detail, writing and communication skills
• Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership qualities that mentor, develop, and guide team members
