The Role
We are seeking a Sr. Manager of People Ops to help partner on all people initiatives including culture, compliance, DEIB, talent management, onboarding/offboarding, retention, training, and administration of payroll changes, benefits and leaves in partnership with Finance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about great employee experiences, leverage data and technology to inform process efficiencies, and develop programs that foster a culture of engagement and high performance. This role reports to the Sr. Director of People & Culture.
Responsibilities:
- Partner on recruitment strategies to attract top talent
- Coordinate the recruitment process; including job postings, screening applications and resumes, conducting interviews, and collaborating with department leads for future hiring
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all involved receive proper support and/or training
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
- Partner on performance management processes to set clear expectations
- Lead with a DEIB focused mindset
- Promote a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities
- Analyze People & Culture metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to the development of People & Culture policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in People Ops and/or Talent Management; startup & retail experience preferred
- Passionate about the environment, sustainability and Blueland’s mission
- Prior experience within talent acquisition and knowledge of TA systems (Lever preferred)
- Experience with HRIS and other HR technology solutions
- Strong analytical and strategic problem solving skills
- High attention to detail, with an ability to effectively organize and prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to engage and contribute in a collaborative working environment (in person and/or remote)
- An ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- A desire and humility to always improve, learn and grow
- Advanced proficiency with Google Slides is required. Experience with Slack, Google Suite and Notion is preferred
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 per year.
