Position Overview
 
We are looking for a Medical/Security Support Specialist for a leading entertainment company to enhance safety and security oversight and efficiency at a site near Lake Tahoe, CA. This includes collaborating with an extensive group of internal and external stakeholders including on-site staff, off-site security operations centers, high-level executives, law enforcement agencies, and other teams. We are looking for someone with a natural inclination to work within a high-performance culture that is fast-paced, dynamic, and self-directed. This position will report to the Director of Security Operations, UCAN.

This is a full-time position. Due to the remote location of the site, housing and meals are provided.
 
Essential Job Functions

- Support the UCAN Security team in all operational responsibilities and priorities identified for the site.
- Drive the engagement and tactical responsibilities of select operational tasks and projects on behalf of the regional manager where appropriate.
- Provide on-site security and medical support during times of normal operations and private events.
- Provide emergency medical response for: breaks, sprains, severe bleed, head/neck injuries, treating pre-existing medical complications, bites, stings, etc. 
- Oversee access control and credentialing of all staff, vendors, and guests.
- Drive implementation and auditing of security programs to ensure appropriate levels of security, safety, privacy, and loss prevention are met.
- Assist in supporting ongoing maintenance or security issues including lockouts, transportation, etc.
- Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes; advanced ability to handle sensitive, highly-nuanced interactions with people despite situations that may be complex, stressful, or unfamiliar.
- When necessary, provide security escorts or medical transportation of employees/guests.
- Serve as a triage point of contact in the event of incidents or major disasters.
 
Required Skills and Experience

- Experience with physical security operations that include a strong customer service element, especially with high-level executives.
- Ability to administer medication, AED, epipen, oxygen, CPR, etc.
- Emergency Medical Technician or Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required.
- Familiarity and comfortability working outdoors and in remote environments with limited access to resources, including first responders required.
- Wilderness safety/first aid and water safety training preferred.
- Previous experience from the Military or Law Enforcement is preferred.
- Proven track record of strong cross-functional relations and ability to communicate effectively and efficiently under pressure.
- Can work independently with a DIY mentality and drive results in a nimble environment.
- Experience working with production, tech, media/entertainment, or content creation is a plus.
$115,000 - $175,000 a year
