Sales Engineer / Technical Customer Success

Bolt is looking for a sales engineer to help our customers understand and evaluate our product. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our customers while delivering deeply innovative solutions that solve their most pressing business needs. Your work will directly impact sales, customer success, and product vision. 

Ideal candidates will have technical depth and an extreme ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders. 


    • Support the Enterprise Sales team on merchant technical scoping calls and meetings
    • Serve as a technical advisor and product expert to support closing deals
    • Build technical qualification documentation for key platforms and integrations
    • Support knowledge management building for scaling core FAQs and merchant technical questions 
    • Architect solutions for onboarding plans for merchant-specific needs
    • Track merchant feature requests pre-sales and triage value of requests
    • Ensure the proper solution scope is built into plans for implementation 
    • Serve as an additional voice to support merchant onboarding to ensure that pre-sales solutions are implemented properly 


    • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role responsible for technical discussions in a sales engineering, implementation, or technical account management capacity
    • Killer ability to simplify complex technical problems high to low/low to high - can get in the weeds, but always knows how to summarize and simplify 
    • (Nice to have) Prior experience in payments, Fintech, fraud/risk, or ecommerce
    • Prior experience in B2B technology, ideally with API/Platform driven products
    • Has driven and developed relationships with complex stakeholders, interfacing with ecommerce, product, design, payments, fraud, engineering, etc
