Purpose of this Role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Business Operations Manager to oversee the core administrative functions that keep our company running smoothly. This is a hands-on, high-impact role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is eager to build scalable processes across HR, IT, accounting, sales administration, and general business operations. This role will work closely with C- and VP-level leadership across the company, enabling teams to stay focused on execution and growth while ensuring the business runs efficiently behind the scenes.

Your Responsibilities

    • Human Resources (HR)
    • Manage day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.
    • Support recruiting efforts in partnership with hiring managers and external recruiters.
    • Own and improve people-related policies, employee handbooks, and performance review processes.

    • Accounting (in partnership with Finance)
    • Own day-to-day financial operations such as invoicing, bill payments, expense reporting, and purchasing workflows.
    • Support budgeting, audit preparation, and month-end close with external accounting partners.
    • Assist with financial reporting and documentation as needed.

    • Sales Administration
    • Manage quoting process, ensuring timely creation of estimates, sales orders, invoices, and customer documentation.
    • Coordinate with the commercial and operations teams to track order fulfillment and resolve administrative bottlenecks.
    • Support international and domestic customer documentation including NDAs, sales agreements, and logistics documentation.
    • Provide administrative support for customer onboarding and trade show logistics as needed.

    • Information Technology (IT)
    • Oversee IT infrastructure including equipment procurement, software licenses, cybersecurity protocols, and system access control in partnership with external IT partners.
    • Manage vendors and consultants to ensure IT systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.
    • Support onboarding and offboarding with proper hardware/software setup and deprovisioning.

    • General Operations
    • Lead and improve administrative workflows across the company, including insurance, facilities, legal documentation, and operational compliance.
    • Coordinate internal communications, company-wide meetings, and business planning processes.
    • Continuously identify inefficiencies and implement systems and tools that enhance productivity and clarity.

Your Skills and Expertise

    • 6–12 years of experience in business operations or similar roles in a startup or high-growth tech/manufacturing company.
    • Demonstrated ability to wear multiple hats and operate independently with limited structure.
    • High computer literacy and deep expertise with all MS Office tools
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse technical teams.
