We are seeking a Lead Marketing Technology Analyst to support high-priority Marketing Technology implementation projects and ongoing omni-channel digital marketing optimization initiatives. This position sits within our Technology team and will regularly interface with a large, cross-functional team of developers, solution architects, marketing strategists, and digital marketing specialists to help bring digital customer experiences to life. As such, the ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible with a strong affinity toward data and technology.

This position necessitates knowledge of varying industry trends, campaign management and journey orchestration best practices, as well as marketing technologies, so the ideal candidate should possess a desire to continually learn, improve and apply subject matter expertise to individual client needs. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for breaking down complex processes and methodologies into easily digestible explanations for clients and internal teams. These projects often require a considerable amount of coordination across numerous resources, so we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized and an independent self-starter.

Role and Responsibilities

    • Serve as primary liaison between engineering and business teams throughout Marketing Technology strategy and development projects
    • Provide consultation and inputs into Marketing Technology roadmaps aligned to client digital marketing and customer experience objectives, in partnership with marketing strategy and business teams
    • Consult and help to establish Journey Orchestration Centers of Excellence for client teams, leveraging Bounteous-defined journey orchestration best practices and documentation templates
    • Lead discovery efforts to gather necessary information from clients and internal team members to appropriately record business needs and solution requirements for omni-channel digital marketing experiences
    • Develop deep knowledge of each client's business and available data to ensure digital marketing targeting and execution methods meet their marketing objectives
    • Create, maintain, and disseminate detailed solution documentation and digital marketing experience build plans
    • Provide solution requirements consultation to engineering and development teams throughout Marketing Technology platform implementations/enhancements and individual campaign and journey builds
    • Oversee QA and end-to-end testing for Marketing Technology platform configurations and individual campaign and journey builds to ensure solution meets client business needs (e.g. audience identification, data flows, journey flows, personalized content assignment, and touchpoint rendering)
    • Initiate new platform, campaign, and journey change controls; manage through to completion with the appropriate stakeholders, including requirements gathering and solution documentation, and coordinating development and testing amongst teams
    • Work closely with project management team to manage workflow and deadlines across multiple, simultaneous platform-related projects and change controls
    • Serve as day-to-day Marketing Technology point of contact for internal and client teams to triage new platform-related requests and serve as a subject matter expert to speak to the nuances, limitations and capabilities of each client’s unique platform implementation
    • Provide support and enablement to Marketing Operations teams for ongoing digital marketing development and execution, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience in a Marketing-related role working with customer journey management solutions supporting omni-channel journey development and execution
    • Experience at a digital-first agency/consultancy strongly preferred, with 5+ years experience in a client-facing role
    • Exposure to and understanding of agency structure and agile project management methodologies 
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including email, phone and meeting-related communications; highly responsive and professional
    • Experience working with teams that have executed digital marketing strategies as well as testing and deployment across email, SMS, mobile push, in-app, and web channels
    • Solid understanding of digital marketing execution processes, audience segmentation methods, industry best practices, communication legal compliance, and downstream digital marketing analysis
    • Experience documenting complex digital marketing requirements for internal and external stakeholders
    • Experience and diligence with Quality Assurance and testing in a digital marketing setting, with specific experience 1.) defining test plans, 2.) reviewing and approving platform-level configurations, settings and flows, and 3.) reviewing and approving individual campaign and journey-level configurations
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines across multiple projects and team members
    • Familiarity with a variety of omni-channel customer journey management platforms and related marketing cloud solutions preferred (Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign, Adobe RTCDP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or similar)
    • Basic understanding of marketing database systems, data management and cleansing processes, ETLs/APIs, and identity management preferred
    • Familiarity with SQL, JavaScript, XML, and/or HTML a plus; ability to read and understand code generated by Marketing Technology platforms or other developers
    • Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Campaign, Adobe RTCDP, or similar certifications a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, a related business or technology field, or equivalent work experience preferred
